If you have not read my five minute guide to online paid surveys please do it before you fuck yourself over Paid Surveys: Make Extra Cash.
Welcome to one of the higher paying survey sites Global Test Market. The only way to make money on this site is through online surveys and panels.
The Surveys
If you don’t qualify for a survey GTM will give you 5 Marketpoints ($.25). Easily the highest in the industry if you don’t qualify for a survey (most companies give you nothing). I receive around 4 surveys a week they average between 50 and 250 market points ($2.50-$7.50), but you can also qualify for online panels that pay more ($35 for an hour). I have not had a survey from GTM last more than 25 minutes and they have rates comparable to Opinion Outpost and Survey Spot.
Payout
The only drawback to GTM is that you have to have 1000 Marketpoints to cash out ($50). This can be reached easier than you think though. After you reach 1000 Marketpoints request a check. Mine took around six weeks, but it still came, and I am not complaining in anyway.
Yea $67 bones.
My Recommendations
Everyone should join GTM. There is money to be made here. I am already 1/3 of my way to another check. It is in my top three for best paying.
If you want to join please hit “Contact The Wi11is” make sure your email is correct, place GTM in the subject line. I get $1 for each referral, but I will also email you with some more tips and tricks to make money. If you have any questions just let me know, this is the seventh company that has paid out and I am hoping to have at least 10 by the time school starts back up, so watch for updates.

If you don’t already watch the show Criminal Minds on CBS you are missing out on AJ Cook. She is at her prime and looking fine. While all these slutty looking actresses are getting attention with DUI’s and crotch shots, AJ is a modest actress that doesn’t get the credit she deserves. Read the rest of this entry »
Well, since summer came around I have been working full-time (no more getting tanked at Kilroy’s on Tuesdays). I thought it would be a good idea to invest some of the money I am making into an online savings account. I already have E-trade and it offers a little bit better APY than ING (3.15 compared to 3.00). Then a friend came along and said I could make $25 for signing up with ING with at least a $250 deposit.
So I did it. I actually prefer the ING site to E-trade. It has more safety features and was extremely easier to sign up for. Yes, the $25 was deposited into my account within a week. My Chase checking account was withdrawn for $250 on the next business day. Now if you choose you can get all your money back in around two weeks. I on the other am keeping in it. I set up an automatic savings plan where ING takes a certain amount from my Chase checking every other week (for the summer). This way I don’t have to worry about saving as it does it for me.
I have a limited number of these $25 bonus referrals that I can distribute.
If you would like one click “Contact The Wi11is”.
As the subject put “ING Referal”, make sure you put your correct email address. That is where I will be sending it to.
*If you are not going to deposit at least $250 please do not ask for the referral because that is one less that someone else could have gotten*
Overall this is good deal. You are making almost as much as you would on a CD, while having access to the money. The setup was about 10x quicker than E-trade and is more secure. It is a very simple site. Once I run out of referrals I will take this post down. FYI I get $10 $7.50 if you sign up, but just remember The Wi11is doesn’t lie unless its to girls.
I was pondering this for the past few days and I have decided to give anyone who signs up a $2.50 gift on top of the $25 that they will receive from ING. The Wi11is cares for its readers and I thought I would consider this “a gift” for you reading our blog. Don’t worry for those two people who already requested a referral, I will send you the gift as well (or maybe just buy you a beer).
News broke earlier this week about Ken Wisenhut being upset with his star quarterback Matt Leinart’s recent party trends. Leinart’s rehab on his shoulder is going great with a hot tub full of girls. Leinart and butt buddy Nick Lachey were at a upscale Scottsdale night clubtrying to pull some trim when they met these ASU chicks. They became quick friends and Leinart invited the girls back to his place for a little pool party. It was later discovered that these chicks were all underage and freshman at ASU. Pretty bad that you have all the money in the world and can only pull the these chicks out of a high scale Arizona club. The chicks were also very stupid and decided to post the pics on their facebooks and myspaces. Enjoy these pics from the dirty.com
I have not had a post about money in awhile so I figured I get something up here. Yesterday, I joined Upromise which is a FREE service that helps families save for college. I have known about it for a long time, but I have been lazy. I am setting this up for my kids and I am hoping that I will have have collected a few thousand dollars to contribute to their college. The service is simple, all you have to do sign up and enter some info. They do try to get you to sign up for a MasterCard, so make sure you avoid doing that. Read the rest of this entry »
Paul Brant of Frankfurt, Indiana bought a brand new Dodge Ram for $26,670 in December. The catch is that he paid for it all in change. He collected change for 13 years and then decided that he needed a truck. The man who lives a short distance from Lafayette is quoted as saying:
“I reckon I was just brought up that way,”
He empties his pockets out daily and goes out of the way to pick up change on the ground. He saved the cash in coffee cans, piggy banks, and used jugs of muscle milk. I give the man credit change does add up, but I have to say this guy
IS A DUMBASS.
He had the right idea in saving the money but keeping the money in coffee cans is slightly stoopid. Assuming he collected $2051.53 a year ($26,670/13). He could have put this money in a the safest possible investment a savings account. The ING Orange Saving rate is now at 3.4% after the Fed has cut the rates so this rate was higher before. He would have had $33,967 after 13 years which is $7297 more or it would have only took him 11 years to get the truck. If he had invested in say the S&P 500 which averages a 10% return he would have had $55,340 which by my calculations is more than double.
What to take away.
Don’t keep your change in a piggy bank, get it into some kind of investment. For college students, don’t keep more than one or two thousand in your checking account. You are losing money if you keep it this account longer than a year since the rate is below the inflation rate. Also, keep an eye on your savings account rates. Some are also really low.
Here is another money saver for all you. Get these shoes delivered to your house for only $51.97 (including tax and shipping). No GimmicksI spotted these Nike Men’s Air Neo 180 on finish line on clearance. I think they look fairly nice. If you are looking at getting some new shoes here’s a decent deal. They have three colors available but I think these are by far the best looking shoes. Read the rest of this entry »
I have recently signed up for the Chase Freedom Credit Card. I recomend anyone with a Chase checking account to go ahead and sign up for this card for the $50 rebate. If you are already a member (like I am) it’s easy. All you need is your Social Security number your gross annual income (what your cheap ass made last year) and some other personal info (a/s/l). If you are not a Chase member I don’t suspect it’ll be that much harder. All you have to do is purchase 1 item and the $50 will be put on your rewards statement (takes about a month). You can choose to cash it out after your first purchase or you can wait it out and once you reach $200 in rewards they will give you another $50 for waiting it out. I am personally going to wait it out. I suggest if you don’t purchase that much on your credit card to go ahead and get that check. Since I only carry $2 bills anymore I use my plastic everywhere I go. Anywho this rewards card is good. I am in the stages of switching from my perfectrewards card from Chase to only this card. I have to switch gym membership and some other monlthy charges over. So if you have a Chase account, don’t be foolish get your $50 dollhairs, and keep using this baby to get some pretty decent rewards. If you dont have chase do it anyway. Here is the link.
I know I should prolly split this post up but I am lazy and just starting this blog off. I came accross this hilarious video about a ghetto big mac. One always forgets that the big mac sauce is free and these guys look to get the cheapest shit possible. So if you buy a ghetto big mac and get this rewards card I think you have a net gain of $50 +1.33.
